Computer CORE refurbishes computers for our adult learners who do not have a computer. For enrolled students, a computer is provided at no cost for them to keep.
CORE accepts donations of PC and Mac laptops, desk tops, monitors, keyboards, mice and cords. We do not accept printers, scanners, fax machines or anything over 25 lbs. CORE partners with Securis to responsibly e-cycle items we cannot use. When donating an Apple device, please ensure that it is removed from your iCloud account.
CORE is a certified Third Party Refurbisher under the Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher program. CORE conducts a factory reset, erasing all your data from the machine. We then install a new operating system. We can provide a certificate to indicate the data has been wiped. We prefer that you do not remove the hard drives as this makes it more expensive for us to provide free devices to our adult learners.
We especially need laptops to meet student needs — our goal is to receive over 1000 per year to distribute to students who do not currently have one. We are also happy to receive any desktop computers (PC or Mac) and peripheral equipment as well.
Before you return or recycle, consider donating your old computers to Computer CORE.
Computer CORE is a certified Third Party Refurbisher under the Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher program. We accept computers individually or in bulk. Our trained tech team follows prescribed security protocols and best practice procedures.
We have been pleased to accept previous bulk donations from large and small companies, as well as from government agencies with very specific refurbishment requirements.
